Answer: Depending on your insurance you may be able to have the windshield repaired, but you will have to ask your agent about your policy just to make sure. If you don't have windshield coverage then you will probably have to pay your deductible (on full coverage) to have it replaced, which is probably more expensive than paying for it on your own.

Answer: A crack in the windshield should be replaced as soon a it is found. I greatly reduced the strength and integrity of it. Insurance will cover it in some states and it purely depends on your policy.
