Answer: Generally the generic car parts are less valuable and reliable than actual brand name parts based on experience and use of said parts on my vehicles.

Answer: Well I hope you have a AAA card and I would first call them to get your vehicle moved off the freeway, and maybe they can tow to an automotive repair center.
